General Education

Hello Westview Community! Structured Learning Services is a specialized set of services provided in the Adams 12 school district that incorporates direct and specialized instruction to students who require an intensive, structured, small group environment to help them learn to the best of their ability. Structured Learning Services has a direct focus on emotional regulation, social skills, and adaptability to environmental changes. Learning occurs in large and small groups as well as on an individual basis with the teacher.  Structured Learning Services meets the unique academic needs of students and aligns instruction to the units of study and the academic standards to help each student access their grade level curriculum.

Structured Learning Services at Westview Elementary has two classrooms (K-2, 3-5), each with a teachers  as well as paraprofessionals dedicated to equipping students with the skills they will need to benefit from general education. Students are admitted to the program based on a special education evaluation that results in the special education team determining that this program is necessary for the student.
