Kindergarten at Westview is a place where children encounter the wonder and excitement of learning. Students observe, talk, think, read, draw and write about the world. They explore the world of mathematics through counting, comparing, measuring, adding and subtracting, sorting, and ordering all kinds of objects and shapes. Hands-on learning activities teach social studies and science concepts. All students participate in physical education and technology classes. Children are supported in their learning throughout the kindergarten year by classroom teachers as well as English language teachers, learning specialists, a teacher librarian, a physical education teacher and a set of paraprofessional educators. All these educators work as a team to provide an environment conducive to growth and development of each child.
