Ms. Bishop's Class

General Education

Hi Westview!

My name is Ms. Bishop and I am the full time school psychologist at Westview. I'm proud to be a Westview wildcat for many reasons. Mostly, I am proud that we treat each other with respect, love each other like family and always put our students first. This is a great place to be! I am originally from Sacramento, California but moved to Colorado in 2016 and absolutely love it here! My favorite parts of living in Denver are going to the mountains for hiking and snowboarding, walking around our amazing parks, seeing all of the dogs and trying tons of different and amazing restaurants. I miss my family in California all the time but Colorado feels like home. I am so excited to learn and grow with you!

I graduated from the University of Denver with my Education Specialist degree in Child, Family and School Psychology and California State University, Sacramento with my Bachelors degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. I have experience working at the elementary, middle and high school levels. I love to learn with my students and believe that I can learn just as much from you as you can from me! It brings me JOY to see my students using the skills we practice in groups when they experience conflict, become emotionally overwhelmed or feel challenged in their work. I believe that we can all do hard things if we have a growth mindset! Our brains are like muscles and it takes a lot of hard work and practice to build new skills.

During this unsettling and unusual time, we will be challenged but we will be in it together. I want us all to remember to have patience, forgiveness and flexibility with our teachers, families and siblings. These are all skills we will practice together as we navigate through this as a team!

Hello Parents and Caregivers!

I will be continuing to update this page with resources, helpful tools and great links to support you during our remote learning. If you are looking for a particular resource but don't see it listed here, email me at and let me know. I will do my best to connect you with what you need or find someone in the district who can.

Remember, we are all in this together. Please don’t feel like you have to be your student's teacher or school psychologist. I will try my absolute best to provide instruction and activities to your children that will be easy to access and continue to build upon the skills we have been working on this school year. As always, if they need some extra help or support, please do your best to provide it but know that I am not expecting you to do my job.
