Dear Westview Families,

February break is next week and there will be no school for students or staff February 19-23.

Important Upcoming Dates:
February 13 - Parent Teacher Conferences from 3:15-7:15 p.m.
February 15 - Parent Teacher Conferences from 3:15-7:15 p.m.
February 12 -February 15 - Scholastic Book Fair (open for families during conferences)

Family-School Relationships Survey - To help us continually elevate your child’s educational experience, I encourage you to take our annual Family-School Relationships Survey! The survey is specific for our school and will help us know where we are succeeding and where we can improve. The survey is open now through Feb. 16. Take it today: www.adams12.org/familysurvey  Our Westview goal is to have 50% of our families take the survey.  Please help us reach our goal so we can learn, grow, and achieve using your feedback!

Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!  - Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) is tomorrow, and we want to celebrate at Westview several different ways.  One way is that we will be having a 2nd Line parade in the afternoon on Mardi Gras. Our 1st grade and second grade classes will be parading. We will begin at 2:15. This year the parade will be outside. Families  are invited to watch the parade in the front of the school building.  We ask that parents who come to watch stand on the sidewalk near the hug and go or along the sidewalk near the Hug and Go lane.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Reminder - Please remember that parents and guardians should not leave their vehicle unattended in the Hug and Go lane during drop-off and pick-up.  Families should also not be using the staff parking lot in front of the school as a Hug and Go lane. The staff lot is used by our Daycare van, but should not be used for individual student drop-off.

Pre-Registration now open for our FREE preschool program! - A strong start to learning: We believe in setting the foundation for success. Our Five Star preschool program focuses on boosting literacy, cognition, and social skills, and providing our youngest learners with the tools they need to excel in kindergarten and beyond.  Flexible Timing: Morning and afternoon sessions are available. Learn more and pre-register today!

We want all of our families to have the information they need to support their students and to know what is happening in the Westview community.  Please check the school website and Westview Facebook (follow Westview Elementary)  for other information and highlights from the school.

At Westview, we are Always - Learning, Growing, and Achieving - Together!
