November 7

Hi Families,

As we move into November, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and support. This time of year is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished together so far and to look ahead to the exciting months to come.

Our students have been working hard and showing growth academically and socially. Teachers are continuing to provide engaging lessons that challenge students to think critically and creatively. We are so proud of the effort and enthusiasm we see every day in our classrooms.
 

As the weather turns colder, please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. If your family is in need of assistance with winter clothing, please contact Ana Martinez—she’s happy to help connect you with resources.

Finally, November is a time for gratitude. On behalf of the entire staff, I want to express my appreciation for our students, families, and community partners. Your support makes all the difference in creating a positive, nurturing learning environment for every child.

Math Night/ Silent Auction

Exciting news! Our Math Night/ Silent Auction is on Thursday, November 13th, from 3:45-5:45. The theme this year is Math Carnival. Please RSVP here so we can order enough pizza for everyone. 

Snacks

Please send a snack for their child each day, as there is no school budget for snacks this year. 

Vision/Hearing Screening

Our annual vision and hearing screening is on Friday, November 14.

Thanks to our community’s support, Ballot Issue 5B passed! The local measure helps narrow the funding gap between the Five Star District and nearby school districts in the Denver metro area. Learn more about how we’ll use MLO funding to invest in staff, safety and programming.

Family Liaison Corner 

You're invited to join us for our next Coffee and Conversation on Friday, November 14th, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the cafeteria. Come support our teachers and help with cutting, sorting, stapling, and making snack bags for our students. We appreciate your support! Come join us for a cup of coffee and meet other Westview parents.
