Reading Intervention

Welcome to Westview Elementary's Intervention page.  There are two interventionists at Westview. Mrs. Von Feldt is the Literacy Interventionist and Mrs. Warrick is the Academic Interventionst. We are excited for another year at Westview with your amazing children. We are here to support your students with small group instruction throughout the day. It is important to us that we are  here to provide rigorous instruction, while providing support to help students grow.   Here is a general layout of the times that we will be able to support your child in Literacy this year.  *This schedule may change as we continue to adapt to the upcoming school year. 

Please note that Mrs. Von Feldt is only at Westview part-time. (7:30-11:30)

Literacy Intervention Focus:

Within each  30 minute small group instruction, I will help struggling readers thrive in sub categories of reading and writing. Some of these categories are: phonics, fluency, phonemic awareness, applying reading strategies, high frequency words, comprehension and basic writing skills to help students transfer their thoughts and knowledge. The instruction will be differentiated at your student’s reading level
