Hello families. I hope you all are doing well during this time of uncertainty. I miss all of my families so much. Know that we are in this together. I am learn ing how to do remote learning right along side you all. Give yourself permission to not be perfect, I am certainly going to be making a lot of mistakes.
Please make an appointment through my email if you want to meet with me.
We will be using Schoology this year for remote learning. It will be great to have everyone in the district using the same platform. This is new to all of us so we just need to be patient and kind to each other.
Thank you for all of your support from home. Remember, you do not have to be your child's new teacher. That is my job. Just be there for support when needed and reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
Good luck! Stay Healthy!

I have been teaching in the District since January of 1992. I have been a member of the Westview staff since October of 1994. I began my teaching here as a kindergarten teacher. I taught kindergarten for 4 years before moving into a 2nd grade position. I taught 2nd grade for 3 years and then taught 3rd grade for 2 years. I returned to 2nd grade where I am currently teaching. Westview is truly my home away from home. I am so happy to be a part of this wonderful community of parents, children, teachers and staff.
I believe that every child deserves the best education I can provide for them. I enjoy working with all types of learners and personalities. I run a calm and structured classroom, where the students are often the teachers. Making connections to my students and families is very important to me. I look forward to evry new year when I get to meet my new class and their families.
When I am not at school, I find JOY in my family! I am married and have 2 children of my own. Our children are grown now, but we have three pets that are our children at home. We have a dog, a cat and a turtle. I am excited to be a new Grandma as well, in September! I enjoy spending time with my family as much as possible. I also love to hike and camp in our beautiful mountains. Reading is definitely on my list of things I love to do.
I am proud to be a Westview Wilcat because we are loving, caring and strong together!
