Mrs. K’s Classroom (K-2)
I want to welcome you to the Westview Structured Learning Services (SLS) program. We are so excited to have the opportunity to work with your student and your family to make sure school is a place of learning, fun, and growth for everyone involved. The SLS program is a self-contained program designed to work with your student on the skills they need to access general education. While the student progresses, we work on responsible inclusion into their classes so that it will be a positive experience for them.
I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher for the 2020-2021 school year! I know that we are living in uncertain times right now, but rest assured that I will do everything that I possibly can to make this a wonderful year of learning and growth for my students. I have been working with students with disabilities in the U.S.A and in Uganda since 2012 and have been the SLS teacher at Westview since 2017. My husband of 2 years, Wilfred, and I are expecting our first child in January 2021. My favorite part about being a teacher is learning about my students and their families, and I love working together to support our students in their growth as learners. I am proud to be a Westview Wildcat because everyone is invested in doing what is best for all our students. This is going to be a fantastic year full of learning opportunities for each of us!
