I’ve had the privilege of working with people of all ages, and in all different settings, throughout my career. For the past 4 years I’ve made Westview my home, and as the students have grown in their knowledge and education, I continue to learn and grow with them. It is an absolute joy to be able to help students reach their goals and move forward to new challenges. That is one of the most rewarding aspects of working at a school, particularly Westview.
The area of speech and language covers a wide range: vocabulary, sentence structure, sentence formation, grammar, language organization, following direction, understanding questions, speech, social interactions, voice, reading… to name a few. As a speech language pathologist, I value the opportunities I have in providing new and successful ways for students to learn speech and language skills and be successful both inside and outside of school
When I take off my SLP hat, you can often find me enjoying one of my many hobbies (skiing, rock climbing, pilates, cooking, hiking, mountain biking, tennis, but most often: walking my dogs!) with my husband and friends. :)
